How do i put air in my bike tire?

1 minute, 19 seconds Read

Inflating a bicycle tire is a simple process. To inflate a bicycle tire, you need a pump. (This is a bicycle-friendly and portable inflator:Handheld Air Compressor Pump Tire Inflator For Car And Bicycle)

Prepare your tools

Pump: Make sure you choose a pump that fits your nozzle type (either Schrader or Presta).

Pressure gauge (if the pump does not have a built-in gauge).

Check tire pressure: Before you begin, check the recommended pressure range on the tire sidewall.

Prepare the nozzle: If there is a dust cover on the nozzle, remove it first.

Connect the pump:

Schrader valve: Directly align the pump’s chuck with the nozzle and secure it.

Presta valve: Unscrew the small nut on the top of the nozzle first, then connect the pump to the nozzle, making sure it is tight.

Start inflating:

Start inflating by pressing the pump’s pedal with your foot, or by pumping the pump manually.

Watch the pressure gauge and stop inflating when the pointer approaches the recommended tire pressure.

Check tire hardness:

During the inflation process, you can press the tire with your hand to feel its hardness. Make sure the tire is hard enough, but do not over-inflate to avoid bursting in high temperatures.

Complete operation:

Remove the pump, quickly unplug it, and re-screw the dust cover (if any).

Make sure all connections are tight to prevent air leaks.

Notes

Different types of pumps may require different operation methods, please adjust accordingly according to your equipment.

If you are using a French valve, be sure to tighten the nut after inflation to maintain a good seal.
