I. How to Use a Car Vacuum Cleaner (The following example uses a corded vacuum cleaner)

  1. Plug the cord into the cigarette lighter socket in your car.
  2. The power switch is located above the handle. Push the switch to the ON position to use the vacuum, and to the OFF position to stop it.
  3. Change the nozzle depending on the situation. The extra-long cigarette lighter cord is sufficient to cover any area inside the vehicle for vacuuming.
  4. When using the vacuum cleaner, keep the suction inlet flat against the ground for best results.
  5. There is a front cover removal button in front of the power control button. Press down to remove the front cover. After use or when cleaning is necessary, remove the front cover to clean the filter to extend its life. Keep the filter away from your eyes and ears when cleaning.
  6. Do not use the car vacuum cleaner to suck up flammable materials, such as burning cigarette butts.
  7. If it is a wet/dry vacuum cleaner, pay attention to the height (capacity) of the front cover’s water-blocking tube when vacuuming water or damp objects. The suction volume should not exceed the water-blocking tube. (The vacuum cleaner must be turned off, the front cover opened to drain water or liquid, and then reinstalled before use.)

II. Precautions for Using a Car Vacuum Cleaner

  • Before using a car vacuum cleaner, check that the power fuse can handle the starting and operating current.
  • Turn off the vacuum cleaner’s power switch, plug the power cord into the car’s cigarette lighter socket, start the car first, then turn on the vacuum cleaner’s power switch to begin operation.
  • When dust reaches a certain level or after use, press the clips on the dust cover to open it and remove dirt.
  • It is best to wear a mask when using a car vacuum cleaner, as it easily stirs up dust, which is more likely to be inhaled. Never place your hands or feet under the suction nozzle while using the vacuum cleaner to avoid danger.
  • During use, check for foreign objects blocking the suction hose, abnormal noise, or smoke. If any of these occur, stop using the vacuum immediately. Remove the foreign objects before continuing use; otherwise, the vacuum cleaner motor may burn out.

III. Car Vacuum Cleaner Usage and Maintenance

  • Before using the car vacuum cleaner for the first time, ensure the filter or dust bag is installed correctly.
  • When using the car vacuum cleaner, be gentle when plugging and unplugging to avoid damaging the cigarette lighter. (This issue does not apply to cordless car vacuum cleaners.)
  • After using the car vacuum cleaner, first disconnect the power supply.
  • Remove the filter or dust bag from the vacuum cleaner according to the instruction manual.
  • Clean the dust and debris from the filter or dust bag.
  • Use a damp, soft cloth to wipe away any dust adhering to the inside of the vacuum cleaner.
  • Reinstall the filter or dust bag.
  • Reassemble the car vacuum cleaner.
  • Use clean water and a soft cloth to wipe the vacuum cleaner casing clean.
  • When wiping the casing, take care to protect the switch and power cord.
  • Check the power plug and power cord for damage and eliminate any potential hazards.
  • Fold the power cord back into place, avoiding sharp bends to prevent damage or premature aging of the wiring.
  • Repack the cleaned car vacuum cleaner back into its original packaging; do not leave it unattended in your car.
  • It is recommended to store the car vacuum cleaner in a dry location away from direct sunlight, such as at home or in the trunk of your car, for easy access next time.
