The user manual of a dashcam usually contains the basic operation, settings and function description of the device. Here are some common usage guides and operation steps:
Basic operation
Power on and off
Dashcams usually turn on automatically when the car starts and start recording. When the car is turned off, the device automatically stops recording. You can also turn it on and off manually by pressing the “OK” button.
Recording and taking pictures
Press the “OK” button to start recording, and press it again to stop recording.
When taking pictures, enter the menu and select the photo function, and press the confirmation button to take pictures.
Video playback
In the recording state, press the menu button to enter the menu, select the video playback function, use the up and down keys to select the video file to be played back, and press the “OK” button to confirm the playback.
Setting function
Resolution setting
Dashcams usually provide multiple resolution options, such as 1080FHD, 720P, etc. Select the appropriate resolution according to the size of the memory card. It is recommended to use 1080FHD for 16G or more.
Loop recording
Set the length of the video clip. Common options are 1 minute, 2 minutes or 3 minutes. It is generally recommended to select 2 minutes to facilitate the management of video files.
Motion detection
Enable the motion detection function, and the device will automatically start recording when it detects a change in the picture.
Gravity sensor
Set the gravity sensor sensitivity. When the vehicle collides, the recorder will automatically lock the current video to prevent overwriting.
Sound recording
You can choose whether to record the sound in the car. If you need privacy, you can choose to turn it off.
Other functions
Date and time settings
When using for the first time, you need to set the date and time. After entering the settings menu, select the corresponding options to adjust.
Format memory card
It is recommended to format the memory card before use to ensure that the device works properly. Enter the settings menu and select the format option.

Some models support parking monitoring function, which can monitor the surrounding environment when parking to ensure vehicle safety.
