High-Pressure Washer Repair and Maintenance Methods

High-Pressure Cleaning Machine Maintenance Procedures

The equipment maintenance procedures must specify the wear parts of the equipment; special maintenance inspections should be performed on the jet components during equipment assembly before cleaning operations and during equipment disassembly after cleaning operations to ensure their normal operation.  All connecting threads and other internal parts that the operator cannot normally observe should be checked each time; the complete set of equipment should be inspected and undergo necessary routine maintenance at least according to the manufacturer’s requirements.

Power Equipment

The power equipment must be checked daily to ensure the normal supply of fuel, oil, medium, and cooling water; the belts should be properly tensioned and free from peeling, cracking, or other damage; all protective devices should be safe, reliable, and undamaged. The control cables and prime mover control devices must be checked daily.

Water Inlet

Before starting the machine, the low-pressure water inlet pipeline of the pump should be checked. The high-pressure pump can be equipped with a pre-pump to ensure a certain water pressure and appropriate flow rate; during operation, the water tank should have sufficient water supply, and the water tank should be free of rust and dirt. The filter must be checked regularly to ensure it is not blocked or damaged. When checking and replacing the filter, prevent solid particles from entering the pump and nozzle through the water inlet pipe. The filter mesh accuracy and filtration area should be compatible with the equipment’s requirements for water quality and quantity.

Hose Assembly

The hose and connectors are very important for the operation of the equipment.  They must be checked for broken wires on the outside, damage caused by pressure or wear, and bulging caused by internal rupture.

Hoses wound on the reel should not be excessively bent to avoid kinking or damage; the reel should have sufficient lubrication and good sealing to ensure its normal use.

Nozzle

Before installation, the equipment pipeline should be flushed with water to ensure that the nozzle is not blocked or damaged, and that the nozzle connecting threads are intact and undamaged; all damaged jet components must be repaired or replaced before operation.

Valves

Before operation, the control valve, pressure regulating valve (overflow relief valve), and safety valve must be checked to ensure they are clean and in good working order.  Various valves should be tested regularly, and damaged parts of the valves should be repaired or replaced promptly.

Electrical Equipment

Special protection should be provided for electrical equipment. Before operation, all electrical boxes, connectors, knobs, cables, and instruments must be inspected for damage; this inspection should be performed routinely every day to ensure that they are not damaged by water or abrasive materials during operation; all electrical connections must be properly secured; after initial wiring or rewiring of the motor, its rotation direction must be checked to ensure it is correct.

Trailer

Before each operation, the trailer’s supports, connections, and wheels (tires) must be inspected to ensure they are in good working order and can move freely.

Special Tools

High-pressure components should be assembled and disassembled using special tools provided and recommended by the manufacturer.

Anti-freezing Measures

When the equipment is used in cold environments, anti-freezing measures must be implemented.  Specifically, remove the spray gun (nozzle), insert the water outlet pipe into the water supply tank, and start the machine to circulate the anti-freeze solution through the equipment’s piping.

If the water in the pump or hose has frozen, the pump unit must be thawed. After thawing, remove the spray gun (nozzle) and allow low-pressure water to flow through the equipment to ensure there is no ice residue before restarting.
